Ever since I was eight years old, watching The Night Stalker, I knew I wanted to be a journalist. I was fortunate enough to have a nearly 20 year career working for newspapers in Michigan (Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo), Kentucky (Bowling Green), Florida (Scripps Treasure Coast) and Illinois (Crystal Lake and Geneva.) I've been mostly a photojournalist and photo editor but do also write and work with design.
I am currently an associate professor in the Communication Arts department at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. (Chicago suburb) where I have been since 2009. I teach journalism, web design and digital publishing.
